More and more websites are popping up on the web and I want to see how each works…bear with me. However, Blip.TV seems to have the best reproduction of video on the web. By the way, the Will Rogers Follies preview was last night, July 3rd, and I shot some great video of the same cast you’re seeing in the rehearsals. Hope you enjoy this video I put together of the rehearsals for the Musical Actors Theatre of Las Vegas production of The Will Rogers Follies opening on July 2 and running thru August 2 at the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center. It was such a pleasure to film and capture all the moments during rehearsal. I look forward to filming everyone at the actual show, so stop by after the 7th of July and you be able to see all our stars in full costume. The Will Rogers Follies is a Tony award…lots of them…winning play and the music is fantastic along with dancing and the comedy. I am actually in the play as the voice of Florenz Ziegfeld … my first theater credit!! Talk to you soon!
Don’t you just love the theater! Check out this website and also plan on attending. I guess I got hook on live theater again after the very successful FENCES promotion we did for the Hands Across The Arts promotion with the Ira Aldridge Theater Company and the College of Southern Nevada. I came across the Musical Arts Theatre last night when I was looking for three actors to cast in a short film I am doing in mid July. I met someone again that I hadn’t seen in many years, Jim Carey the head of the Musical Arts Theatre at there rehearsal hall on Cheyenne. All the cast was on hand and will be on hand every night, Monday thru Friday, from 6:30pm -11:30pm making sure the show is a smash hit…This year they present the Will Rogers Follies…and the leads are tremendous and each and everyone of the cast looks great!
What really is impressive is the dedication of these people to the performing arts. I am trying to put a crew together to see if we can film the promotion in HD and offer it as a DVD or something! To not capture this enthusiasm on film forever would just be such a waste. I will have more on this later, but make sure you take a look at the YouTUBE video of the Broadway show…this a Tony Winning Play and you’re gonna love this cast made up of your friends and neighbors in Las Vegas. Yellow Pages.com is burning up the market with new video for clients all over the valley. I am one of the filmmakers in town that handles the on-line videos for TURN HERE. This should be a fun video because Step By Step is a dance studio…Dance is hot right now and everyone wants to learn a new step…pun intended. I’ll let you know how things turn out.
